Beethoven Spring Festival 2020

»Online @ Casino Baden«

In celebration of the Beethoven Jubilee Year, we have initiated the Beethoven Spring Festival – an annual festival in special Beethoven venues. The first edition was supposed to include concerts in venues from Baden to Gneixendorf and Wiener Neustadt to Heiligenstadt, but could not be held as intended due to the current circumstances. Instead of cancelling or postponing in these challenging times, we have decided to take the Beethoven Spring Festival online.

Every Friday at 6 p.m., starting on May 15th, concerts will be streamed from the concert hall at the Casino Baden. The streams will be available live on this website and on facebook.com/beethovenfruehling. If you’re not able to tune in live, feel free to enjoy the concert later as video on-demand.

The Beethoven Spring online edition will feature versatile programs like chamber music, song recitals, crossover and more. The first concert of the online-series will  be performed by the young musicians of the Chaos String Quartet – the famous Austrian singer of the State Opera, Wolfgang Bankl, the philharmonic Vienna Vision Trio and the exceptional double-bass players Georg Breinschmid and Dominik Wagner will perform works by L.v. Beethoven, F. Schubert, J. Brahms, A. Piazzolla among others in the following concerts.

The streamings are freely accessible. We feel responsible for providing concert fees to our musicians and kindly invite you to make a contribution at your own discretion, which will be forwarded to the performers. For this purpose an account number for transactions from Europe as well as Paypal address for audiences from all over the world will be displayed during the transmission.
We therefore invite you to “enter” at your own discretion and possibilities – for this purpose an account number as well as Paypal address with a weekly password will be displayed in the streamings. If you can’t contribute at the moment, that’s also ok and we hope to brighten your day!

The dress code is up to you – feel free to get comfortable or to dress up for a virtual concert in your tux 😊

“We would like to give hope and bring joy through music as a positive contribution during these challenging times. Please consider our streamings as a live concert broadcasted to your home and think about contributing if possible.”
Dorothy Khadem-Missagh, founder & artistic director of the Beethoven Spring

Beethoven was exemplary in breaking new ground with courage and we would like to  warmly invite you to celebrate the jubilee with us through music.
