Glimpses of Light

Beethoven Spring Festival

The Beethoven Spring Festival is an innovative classical music festival. Inspired by the musical pioneer Ludwig van Beethoven, pianist Dorothy Khadem-Missagh and her young festival-team are creating outstanding concerts.
In its third season, Beethoven Spring Festival fully unfolds its original idea for the first time and welcomes its audience at special Beethoven locations.

Ludwig van Beethoven lived at the turn of the Classical to the Romantic period. As a progessive thinker of his era, he expresses his personal emotions within his impressive compositions. Unfortunately his life was also marked by numerous setbacks, crises and immense health problems.
Today, in 2022, tragedy, suffering and hardship are omnipresent – a cruel war in Europe, the climate crisis and the pandemic are just a few examples that concern people all over the world.

Themed “Glimpses of Light” the Beethoven Spring Festival 2022 works out the tension between the current challenges and the confidence in a better future.

“We need music – especially in challenging times, it is a source of strength and inspiration. Art has the power to nourish our soul and the capability to help us deal with setbacks. If we allow ourselves to fully immerse in the music, it can also give us moments of pure joy and serenity.”
Dorothy Khadem-Missagh
